California State University, Fresno, USA. Eddie West has started a new position as assistant vice president, international affairs at Fresno State. Eddie spent the previous five years serving as assistant dean, international strategy and programs at San Diego State University. Previously he worked at Berkeley Extension, the continuing and professional education division of UC Berkeley, and at NACAC, the National Association for College Admission Counselling. In his new role, Eddie serves as California State University, Fresno’s senior international officer. His position oversees international student recruitment, admissions, support, and international strategic planning and implementation for the university. “I’m thrilled to lead international efforts at a university that’s renowned for driving upward social mobility. Fresno and California’s Central Valley is the country’s agricultural breadbasket, and I envision a lot of opportunity to collaborate on programs in viticulture, enology, gastronomy, among others.
