David Turvey has been appointed chief executive officer of the Australian Tertiary Education Commission (ATEC), following a period as acting CEO. Before joining ATEC, David served as executive director and acting commissioner at Jobs and Skills Australia, where he helped shape national workforce and skills priorities. He brings extensive experience in public policy, tertiary education, and workforce reform. “I’m honoured to be appointed CEO of ATEC and continue the work we’ve begun,” said David: “I look forward to working with the sector and stakeholders to strengthen Australia’s tertiary education system and improve outcomes for learners, institutions, the economy and society as a whole.”
