University of Niagara Falls Canada. David Gray has been appointed president and vice-chancellor at University of Niagara Falls Canada, after serving as provost and vice-president, Academic since 2023. David will continue to charter the university’s bold vision as an innovative, digitally oriented institution, as well as lead the expansion academic offerings in areas such as sustainability, computer science, health and veterinary management and sciences, and clean and innovative renewable energy. In his previous role, David’s exceptional leadership has been instrumental in the successful operation and growth of the university since inception. Recognised with a Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee medal in 2022 for services to higher education in Canada, David has served in several senior leadership roles at academic institutions in the United Kingdom and Canada. Prior to joining UNF, he was the inaugural dean and campus principal of the Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University. David said: “I am honoured with this new appointment. I look forward to working with our faculty, staff, students, and the broader Niagara community to build on this momentum.”
