Barnard Castle School, UK. David Bates has joined Barnard Castle School as director of international education and enterprise. In his new role, David is leading the school’s international strategy, global partnerships and enterprise initiatives as a member of the senior leadership team. He brings over 15 years of experience in international and UK education, having previously spent a decade at Whitgift School, where he held several senior roles including director of projects and director of international education. His career began in business management before transitioning into education in 2009. David holds a Cambridge DELTA, a PGCE, and an MA in Educational Leadership from UCL.
