UWC ISAK Japan. Alix Hernandez has joined UWC ISAK Japan as Director of Admissions. Being Japan’s only full-boarding international high school and one of the newest members of the United World Colleges movement, UWC ISAK Japan is committed to educating academically curious, compassionate, and innovative students from around the world who are eager to make a difference, and it is Alix’s task to select these students. She comes with experience in a variety of international education-related roles, including: Center Director for ELS Language Schools in Colombia; lecturer at the Swiss Hotel Management School in Switzerland; Regional Manager for the Americas, the Caribbean and Europe at Seneca College, and more recently, she was in charge of international student recruitment and market development at York University (these last two institutions located in Canada). As testimonial to her commitment in the international education sector, she has been recognised by the Council of International Schools with the Future Leader Award.
