University of Girona, Spain. Alícia Betts has recently joined the University of Girona and her role is to provide technical support to Strategic International Projects. Her work focuses on the implementing the Internationalisation Strategy and increasing the visibility of the university in European and global spheres. She has extensive experience working in European funded projects, internationalisation of higher education institutions, responsible research and innovation policies, social responsibility of universities and the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and the SDGs, benchmarking studies and organisation of events. Until January 2020, she was Head of projects at the Catalan Association for Public Universities and at the Global University Network for Innovation where she was responsible for the joint internationalisation strategy of ACUP and participated in the coordination of the worldwide GUNi Reports. She is also a member of the Cooperation for Development Expert Community at the EAIE.
