Pomegranate Global, Australia. Ailsa left CQUniversity Australia, where she was Pro Vice-Chancellor International and Social Innovation, to establish Pomegranate Global. Operating in the crossroads between international education, capacity building and social innovation, Pomegranate Global is developing programmes to address social and environmental issues, and to apply international education expertise to support education for migrants and refugees. Pomegranate Global also offers advisory and consultancy services. Before CQUniversity, Ailsa held a variety of roles at Australian universities, including RMIT and JCU. In 2016, Ailsa led CQUniversity’s successful bid to become the first Australian university recognised as a leader in social innovation education by the US-based Ashoka U network of social entrepreneurs.
