ICEF SE Asia Workshop, Ho Chi Minh City

On 14-16 June, 2017 over 350 participants from 26 countries came together at the inaugural ICEF Southeast Asia Workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where rising family incomes, a growing economy and high demand for quality education are making Vietnam an important, emerging market for international educators.

International Students House Garden Party

The International Students House Garden party was held at the Park Crescent Gardens in Regents Park in the presence of their Patron, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal. Students and scholars from around the world attended alongside representatives from London universities. Guests were entertained by a magician & a string quartet.

BCCIE Summer Conference, Kelowna

Educators from across Canada’s education system gathered in the country’s wine region for the British Columbia Council for International Education’s summer conference. Sessions focused on technological advancements in international education and how to respond to Canada’s boom in student numbers.

ELTons Innovation Awards 2017, London

The 15th annual ELTons took place this week at the Millbank Tower in London, to celebrate innovation within the sector. The ceremony was hosted by Susie Dent, writer and broadcaster on language, and over 300 guests attended the night’s event.

Edu Data Summit from QS, London, UK

The Edu Data Summit hosted by QS provided a detailed two-day dive into how best to use data and share data to help bolster institutional performance. A dinner at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple in the heart of old London was the dinner venue.  

III ForBEI, São Paulo, Brazil

BMI’s 30th anniversary party, Los Angeles

International student recruitment fair company, BMI, celebrated its 30th anniversary at the NAFSA conference in Los Angeles. The evening began with a gala dinner, with entertainment from Brazilian dancers. The night’s party kicked off soon after, with hundreds of NAFSA delegates in attendance.

NAFSA 2017, LA – Thursday

The final night of NAFSA was full of an array of events, including a rooftop reception on S Figueroa Street, and a Campus France reception in Beverly Hills. GoAbroad.com also held their annual award ceremony, and the night ended at the infamous Turkish reception at LA’s Belasco Theater.

NAFSA 2017, LA – Wednesday

The Wednesday of NAFSA saw events take place all over downtown Los Angeles. Receptions were hosted by StudyPortals and New Zealand, Australia held a 30s and 40s themed party, and Air Concepts’s late night event saw delegates party the night away.

NAFSA 2017, LA – Monday + Tuesday

The annual NAFSA conference and exhibition week kicked off on Monday night with an IELTS/Hotcourses reception. Tuesday evening’s receptions included La Trobe’s 50th anniversary party, receptions from INTO and Education New Zealand, and BMI’s dinner and party.

International House held its 2017 Directors’ Conference in Toronto, hosted by guard.me and bringing together directors from IH schools worldwide. The conference featured a charity auction and gala dinner as well as workshops and networking events.

The British Council’s 2017 Going Global conference took place in London, bringing together higher education stakeholders, thought leaders and policymakers to network, discuss opportunities and challenges in international education, and consider this year’s theme: ‘Global cities: connecting talent, driving change’.
