We are delighted to announce that bookings have reopened for the UHR Annual Conference & Exhibition 2017.

The 2017 Conference will be heading to Newcastle and will feature an exciting line up of plenary speakers, workshops, legal sessions, evening social activities as well as a fantastic Gala Dinner and the UHR Awards.

We will also have over 35 exhibitors and sponsors from across the sector ready to offer useful advice and services throughout the event, and afterwards.

All things to all people: what are universities for?

We have multiple stakeholders with multiple objectives and changing expectations.

• How are we supporting our institutions to address this changing and sometimes paradoxical environment?
• How do we embrace the opportunities and address the tensions between the strategic objectives of so many stakeholders, including our students?
• How can we support decision making and what are we looking to reward and recognise in achieving a range of organisational objectives?
• How do we ensure the staff voice can be heard?

The Conference is an opportunity to consider these challenging questions and the implications for people management and the HR function.
