Overcoming Challenges of Access & Opportunity
in Education Abroad
As an international educator, you work hard with limited resources to make study abroad possible for all your students. But common and frustrating challenges and barriers can make it difficult, especially when working with students who are underrepresented in study abroad.
Join us for a unique retreat-style conference where we’ll explore together the theme of Overcoming Challenges of Access and Opportunity in Education Abroad. You and your institution will gain new insight and resources through interactive sessions, small group work, and peer connection building.
Major access and opportunity themes to be explored include:
- Overcoming common and frustrating challenges to get students abroad
- Supporting underrepresented students while abroad
- Research and assessment of underrepresented students in education abroad
- Developing programs and international partnerships that increase access and opportunity
Leadership, senior international officers, faculty, and administrators are encouraged to work together to create innovative solutions. Consider submitting a proposal. Joint sessions between faculty and administrators are especially encouraged. Or, join to be part of the conversation and benefit from quality formal and informal meetings and sessions to discover what more we can do together to make study abroad more accessible.
Other exciting conference activities include the opportunity to meet with international host institutions to learn about various CCIS education abroad programs, organized activities, and professional growth workshops.
