Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship and EDHEC Business School have jointly announced the launch of an innovative new Fintech specialisation for Q1 2019.

Jointly designed by CFTE and EDHEC, the course will combine online and offline components that will give students an overview of global trends in ecosystems such as London, Paris, Singapore, New York or Hong Kong. Students will then apply this foundational knowledge of Fintech and work on concrete group projects.

“This pedagogical venture ensures our students…[will be] able to collaboratively and creatively propose tomorrow’s financial solutions”

Students will also benefit from self-paced online learning in addition to group workshop sessions which will allow face-to-face consultations and discussions with senior course lecturers.

The announcement marks a new partnership between two global education leaders, with the CFTE community spanning over 50 countries and EDHEC Business School is ranked in the world’s top three business schools for finance.

A frequent collaborator on higher education projects, the business school’s international academic partners include MIT Sloan School of Management and London School of Economics.

Speaking about the partnership, Michelle Sisto, Associate dean for Graduate Studies at EDHEC said: “We are delighted to announce the partnership with CFTE in line with our mission to provide top quality academic and industry-relevant education.

“This pedagogical venture ensures our students are not only aware of the technology and players currently impacting industry, but are also able to collaboratively and creatively propose tomorrow’s financial solutions.”

Tram Anh Nguyen, co-founder of CFTE added: “We are delighted to be working with EDHEC to launch this first-of-its-kind Fintech specialisation. We are very impressed by EDHEC’s willingness to innovate and try new pedagogical methods to keep bringing the best to their students.”
