The British Council hosted Aung San Suu Kyi this week and announced an agreement to train 10,000 English teachers per year from the 20 state teacher training colleges, reaching 41,000 schools and 2 million Burmese youngsters. Suu Kyi used her Westminster speech to highlight education goals for her country.
