Australia: sector speaks on ESOS policy changes

International education is a success story in Australia at the moment with overall enrolments up 12% to June this year, but peak bodies openly discussed the need to ensure that "good growth" is achieved, as current industry bugbears around Streamlined Visa Processing (SVP) and the Tuition Protection Service (TPS) were laid bare.

Australia: Milton College, Sydney in liquidation

One hundred international students are being placed into new institutions after Milton College in Sydney, Australia shut its doors last week due to financial difficulties. As a consequence, it is no longer able to continue to teach currently enrolled students; the majority of whom were thought to be on high school preparation programmes.
