Abroad101 releases student review rankings

Students from the US have ranked courses in Costa Rica, Australia and Ireland as the best study abroad programmes in the Abroad101 2014 Study Abroad Rankings. The review website also announced listings of students’ top choices for summer programmes, foodie cities and budget destinations.

Abroad101 backs crowd funding campaigns

Abroad101, one of the largest study abroad review websites, has partnered with online crowd funding platform GoEnnounce, to sponsor and promote students' fundraising campaigns for a study abroad goal. Students who create study abroad "missions" will be entered into a draw to win $25 towards their target.

New Abroad 101 owners prioritise accountability

Members of the Abroad 101 advisory board have acquired the US-based study abroad directory with plans to bring it back from the brink of closure. The new owners intend to use the site, which attracts more than 2,000 visitors daily, to increase accountability in student mobility and advocate for "off the beaten path" study experiences.

Top US study abroad picks revealed

American students have named study abroad programmes in France, Italy and China among the best, according to rankings compiled by the portal Abroad101.com. The rankings also provide niche category winners, such as best budget-friendly, top foodie cites and top non-traditional destinations.
