CEG Digital and QMUL to deliver blended master’s

CEG Digital QMUL blended Masters delivered onlineQMUL has a high proportion of international students but it wants to reach more via 90% online part-time Master's

"If this demand were to be met by traditional delivery, it would require four universities to open every week for 10 years"

MD of the division, Geoff Webster, has underlined that universities need to step up online engagement if they wish to harness the growing yet changing demand for global education.

“Global demand for post-secondary education is expected to rise from 165 million in 2013 to 263 million by 2025. If this demand were to be met by traditional delivery, it would require four universities to open every week for 10 years,” he said.

“This is where we come in – we offer a unique combination of financial resources, pedagogical expertise in a sophisticated digital environment, global market knowledge and a global salesforce.”

The first four programmes delivered for QMUL will be part-time and delivered predominantly online: 90% online and 10% via face-to-face workshops.

The selection of the first four programmes is being finalised now and they will be purposely designed for working professionals.

Webster told The PIE News that QMUL does have some existing online postgrad programming, but this partnership “signals their strategic intent to really participate in this area.”

“I am confident that the partnership with CEG Digital will allow us to satisfy our strategic ambitions in this area by facilitating the recruitment of new student cohorts in a high quality, pedagogically robust manner.” explained Rebecca Lingwood, vice-principal (Student Experience, Teaching and Learning) at QMUL, a Russell Group institution.

“This strategic partnership with CEG Digital is key to supporting our objectives to expand our educational offering and better support students who wish to continue developing both personally and professionally.”

One Response to CEG Digital and QMUL to deliver blended master’s

  1. This is great news. I hope a masters business program will be covered.
Also – will the 10% be in the UK – or will there be outreach to various countries so students do not have to travel? Time of year for the 10% is crucial.
