Peter Lowy, CEO of Anglo Educational Services, which has been in operation for over 40 years, said “removing the word American was an extremely difficult decision to make, particularly as the US student market was the core of the business”.
But he said it was important to modernise the brand given “the educational travel industry has seen huge growth in recent years and many of the big travel companies now have a stake in that market”.
AES was one of the first organisations in the UK established to provide support for American students participating in study abroad programmes, assisting with a variety of accommodation, academic and cultural services.
AES has partnered with agency umi Marketing for a year and after extensive consultation, it is launching its new look and logo this week at the WYSTC conference in San Diego.
It now aims to pursue growth opportunities and attract students from all over the globe whilst continuing its work in the US market. AES assists over 5000 students each year and has more than a dozen properties across London, including a newly refurbished study centre in the heart of the university district.
