"This is the biggest and best award in Australia you can win for our industry"

In explaining reasons for Browns’ success, the award organisers – Austrade and ACCI – explained that judges were impressed the the school’s client-centric view of operations, clear vision and focus on student satisfaction.

Richard Brown, Managing Director, told The PIE News, “This is the biggest and best award in Australia you can win for our industry. So you can understand how excited all of our team are right now.

“For BROWNS to achieve this award is a massive achievement not just for the people in our company put also for all the small private English language schools in Australia working so hard for our industry during these challenging times.”

The school was up against vocational and FE providers, such as Flight Training Adelaide, and the ceremony was held at Parliament House in Canberra. Trade Minister, Craig Emerson, noted, “As we turn our attention to the next wave of opportunity the Asian Century will bring, exporters will play a more important role than ever.”

The Australian Export Awards have run for 50 years and there are 12 distinct categories – Education and Training is afforded its own division because of the value of the sector to the country.
