Another acquisition for ISIS Education

UK education group ISIS Education has acquired United International College (UIC), an award-winning language training company that runs a school in Central London, three residential summer programmes and a large foreign language teaching operation.

UIC in central London is the latest school to join the UK-based ISIS Education Group

Both agree that being part of a larger organisation will help UIC grow

Marking another acquisition hot on the heels of the group’s expansion into Canada, ISIS Director, David Brown, commented, “The acquisition works well from both a business and people perspective”.

Brown – who along with co-founder Robert Darrell was profiled in The PIE Review 02’s focus on entrepreneurs – added, “Our two companies share many similar work practices and values, and a central London location offering courses to both adults and groups is a perfect complement to our five other year-round destinations.”

The deal will see the UIC directors, David Wilkins and Neil Upton, take senior roles within the ISIS staff team. Both agree that being part of a larger organisation, with access to a greater range of resources and skills, will help UIC grow and will offer existing staff the opportunity for professional development within an integrated group.

The customers and partners of UIC should see no significant changes and will benefit from investment in the facilities and service. The aim is to continue to offer the same hands-on, people oriented approach, but within the scale of a medium sized group.

The acquisition of UIC is a natural step in the growth of ISIS, following on from the 2012 acquisition of the two Eurocentres schools in Toronto and Vancouver.
