Why Japan?
- Growth in outbound mobility
Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT) reported 60,138 Japanese nationals studying abroad in the academic year 2012–2013. The Japan Student Services Organization figures for 2013–2014 indicate a continuing increase.
- In 2013, the Japan Revitalization Strategy announced a government target of doubling the number of students studying abroad to 120,000 by 2020.
- Enhanced funding opportunities
In 2014 the government doubled funding for study abroad scholarships. It is also turning to the private sector for help in making study abroad affordable for students via an umbrella initiative called the Japan Public-Private Partnership Student Study Abroad Program.
Join us to gain deeper insights of this vital market while building lasting partnerships with top recruiters who can really communicate your courses to students in their language.
