The growing pace of innovation, technological and demographic change presents opportunities and challenges for businesses, economies and governments worldwide. It is not the world’s mining and energy resources but rather its intellectual capital that has become the most valued commodity of the 21st century.

The seventh Cambridge Assessment Conference will take a close look at the role that international education plays in maximising an individual’s opportunities to succeed in a global marketplace.

How best can education prepare students for successful participation in a global marketplace? How can learning and assessment maximise an individual’s opportunities in an increasingly interconnected world?

As leaders in educational assessment, we will be hosting a debate about the meaning, application and impact of an international education. The seventh Cambridge Assessment Conference will take place in Cambridge on Wednesday 15 October 2014. Join the debate.

We will welcome education experts from the UK and abroad who will provide real life examples of what international education means to their organisations and in their contexts. As always, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues from around the world.

Confirmed speakers include:

Isabel Nisbet Executive Director, A Level Content Advisory Board
Jeremy Hodgen Professor of Mathematics Education, King’s College London
Sunny Varkey Founder and Executive Chairman, GEMS Education Group
Gisella Langè Foreign Languages Inspector, Italian Ministry of Education
